Joana Pinto has been with Antas da Cunha Ecija since 2025 as a Partner in the Technology Transactions area.

A specialist in the regulation and governance of artificial intelligence, technology law, negotiation of technology contracts and corporate governance, she has extensive experience in advising on highly complex technology transactions in the public and private sectors, in both national and international contexts.

With over 25 years' professional experience, he has built up a solid track record in multinational technology companies, advising senior executives, aligning legal strategies with business objectives and mitigating risks. For 17 years, he led the Legal Department of Accenture Portugal, where he was a member of the Executive Committee, and was also responsible for Accenture's legal operations in Angola and Mozambique. Previously, she worked as In-House Counsel at Capgemini, Sonaecom and Optimus, and was legal advisor to the Deputy Secretary of State of the Minister of Internal Affairs in the XVI Constitutional Government.

She has written several opinion articles on law applied to technology and is a regular speaker at national and international conferences on topics such as artificial intelligence and its legal challenges. She has a law degree from the Portuguese Catholic University, executive training in Financial Accounting from Harvard Business School, in Organizational Leadership from AESE Business School and a post-graduate degree in Telecommunications Law from the University of Coimbra.

Distinguished by the Legal 500, she was a member of the GC Powerlist Portugal (2023 and 2024) and the GC Powerlist Iberia (2022) and led the teams awarded the Gold Award “In-House Team of the Year” by Iberian Lawyer in 2020 and 2024. He has been a member of the Portuguese Bar Association since 2004, of the APDSI Artificial Intelligence Mission Group since 2024 and of the International Bar Association since 2025.
