Alexandra Mota Gomes, Partner at Antas da Cunha Ecija & Associados, Law Firm R.L.. Graduated from the Faculty of Law of the University of Lisbon and post-graduated in Arbitration from the Faculty of Law of Nova University Lisbon. Attended the post-graduate course in Economic and Financial Criminal Law at the Institute of Criminal Law and Criminal Sciences of the Faculty of Law of the University of Lisbon and the Advanced Course in International and European Judicial Cooperation in Criminal Matters at the Faculty of Law of the University of Lisbon.

Between 2000 and 2020, she was a lawyer at PLMJ. Her work has been mainly centered on the area of organized crime, economic, “white collar” crimes and cybercrimes.

She has wide experience on preventing corruption, money laundering and terrorist financing.

She also has extensive knowledge in the field of administrative offenses, especially in the field of banking, capital market, pharmaceutical, environment, construction, energy, telecommunications, advertising and economics. Alexandra, also, launched a Compliance Package that was “Highly Commended” in the category New Products and Services in 2018 edition of Financial Times Innovative Lawyers.

She is a member of the Association of Criminal Lawyers.

She joined Antas da Cunha Ecija & Associados as a Partner in January 2021, where she coordinates the Criminal, Misdemeanor and Compliance practice area.
