Joana Soares Quirino (born 1981), Senior Associate at Antas da Cunha Ecija & Associados, Sociedade de Advogados R.L. Graduated from Lisbon University Law School (2004), admitted to the Portuguese Bar Association in 2006.

She started her traineeship at AMM & Associados (Landwell - PricewaterhouseCoopers legal network) and completed it at Cuatrecasas in 2005, where she remained as a Principal Associate until 2018. That same year, she moved to OutSystems, where she worked as Legal Counsel and Compliance & Data Privacy Officer. In January 2024, she joined Antas da Cunha Ecija & Associados as a Senior Associate.

Between 2009 and 2014, she also worked as a guest lecturer in the Interdisciplinary Legal Practice Module (Commercial and Corporate Law) at the Faculty of Law of Universidade Nova de Lisboa.

Her main areas of practice are Corporate law, Commercial law and Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A).

The main projects on which she has advised include various M&A transactions and restructurings, particularly in the real estate, energy (with a special focus on renewable energies) and transport sectors, as well as the incorporation and monitoring of companies in a wide range of sectors.

She provides general legal advice in the corporate area, namely mergers, transformations, spin-offs, dissolutions and liquidations, commercial transactions, including negotiation and drafting of related contracts, due diligences, as well as regular legal assistance to various companies in numerous corporate and commercial law matters.

She has also advised several companies in the media and communications area.

She has a law degree from the University of Lisbon Law School (2004), a post-graduate degree in Commercial Law from the Portuguese Catholic University (2004-2005) and a Master's degree in Law and Management from the Nova School of Business and Economics (2012-2013).

In January 2024, Joana Soares Quirino joined Antas da Cunha Ecija & Associados as a Senior Associate.
