She works in corporate and international taxation and is widely recognized as one of Portugal's leading experts in highly complex tax litigation, tax arbitration, energy and natural resources taxation, structural corporate reorganizations, variable remuneration schemes for senior management and social security contributions, as well as in advanced matters of tax governance for large economic groups. She regularly advises multinational groups, investment funds, public entities, and family offices on transactions with significant economic impact and a strong strategic component, many of which are transnational in scope.
Over more than 25 years of practice, she has led landmark tax cases in Portugal, including landmark litigation in the area of corporate income tax and social security contributions, as well as tax structuring projects for oil concessions and investments in the energy sector in Portuguese-speaking African jurisdictions. She acts consistently before the administrative courts and the Administrative Arbitration Center (CAAD), where she also serves as a tax arbitrator. She is a member of supervisory bodies of companies and foundations, with active involvement in matters of governance, compliance, and tax risk management.
She is a leading author in specialized legal publications, a regular speaker at national and international conferences, and a guest lecturer in postgraduate programs in taxation. Her work has been repeatedly recognized by leading international directories.
