Ana Raquel Conceição (born 1978) is Of Counsel at Antas da Cunha Ecija & Associados, Sociedade de Advogados R.L.

She earned her Law degree from the Faculty of Law of the Lusíada University of Porto (2001) and has been a member of the Portuguese Bar Association since 2003. She holds a Master’s degree in Law from the Faculty of Law of the University of Coimbra (2003) and a Ph.D. in Law from Lusíada University–North (Porto) (2018).

From an academic perspective, she served as a university lecturer from 2002 to 2018, teaching Criminal Law and Criminal Procedure Law at Lusíada University of Porto. Since 2018, she has been an Assistant Professor at the School of Law of the University of Minho, where she teaches Economic and Financial Criminal Law, Methods and Limits of Evidence, and Criminal Procedure Law.

After completing her professional traineeship, she established herself as a solo practitioner, working within a shared law office with other colleagues. In 2014, she joined CMB – Sociedade de Advogados, R.L. as an associate, becoming a partner in 2015.

Her primary areas of practice include Criminal Law, Administrative Offenses Law, Compliance, and Private Clients.

She has published several scientific articles and monographs, both nationally and internationally, in these fields.

She is an Integrated Researcher at JusGov – Research Centre for Justice and Governance, within the JusCrim – Criminal Justice and Criminology group, and regularly participates in congresses, conferences, and working groups.

She was part of the Portuguese Bar Association’s pool of trainers at the Porto Regional Council in the field of Criminal Procedure Law from 2018 to 2023 and has been a member of the Advisory Board of the Portuguese Criminology Association since 2012.

She served as a member of the Disciplinary Council of the Portuguese Football Federation, Professional Section, from 2022 to 2025.

She is a member of the National Council for Traineeship and Training of the Portuguese Bar Association.
