Ricardo Travado Reis is an Associate in the Public Law, Planning, Environment and Energy practice area.
Ricardo Travado Reis focuses on Administrative Law, with a particular emphasis on urban planning law, environmental law and administrative litigation. In the field of urban planning law, he advises public and private entities on a wide range of matters, from planning to urban management, as well as on urban planning charges and fees. In the field of environmental law, his experience includes advising on several environmental impact assessment procedures. He also has experience in public procurement (structuring and performance of various types of contracts) and in general administrative law. He regularly assists clients in complex administrative procedures and has drafted several legal opinions on the aforementioned matters.
A significant part of his practice has also involved administrative litigation, in which he has represented both public entities and private operators before the courts.
He began his professional career at AMMC Legal in 2021, where he completed his traineeship with the Portuguese Bar Association and became an associate of the same firm in 2024. He holds a law degree from the Faculty of Law of the University of Lisbon and a master’s degree in Administrative Law from the Lisbon School of the Faculty of Law of the Universidade Católica Portuguesa, where he wrote his dissertation in the field of environmental law, entitled “Tacit approval: an analysis of the regime applicable to preventive environmental instruments”.
