Ana Isabel Marques is a Counsel in the Public, Urban Planning, Environment, and Energy Area.

Ana Isabel Marques focuses on Use Planning, Urban Planning, and the Environmental Law.

She began her career at the law firm Luiz Gomes, Abecasis & Associados in 1987, where she completed her legal internship. She continued her career as an associate at the law firm Luiz Gomes & Associados between 1989 and 2005, a period during which her practice focused on private law.

Between 2005 and 2017, she was a Senior Associate in the Public Law Department at Cuatrecasas, Gonçalves Pereira & Associados, Law Firm, SP, RL, with her main areas of practice being Public Law and Administrative Litigation, particularly in the areas of Urban Planning, Land Use Planning, Environmental Law, and Regulatory Law. She also has extensive experience in general civil and administrative litigation, as well as in administrative offense litigation, in the areas of urban planning and the environment.

Between 2018 and 2021, while still at Cuatrecasas, Gonçalves Pereira & Associados, she was a member of the Knowledge Management Department.

From November 2021 to January 2024, she worked as a Counsel at the law firm Abalada Matos, Moraes Cardoso, RL, where she focused almost exclusively on Land Use Planning, Urban Planning, and the Environment. She participated in the preparation of various land-use plans and in the monitoring of processes related to the construction, installation, management, and operation of real estate developments in the residential, commercial, industrial, logistics, and tourism sectors. She also participated in the preparation of various management plans for special conservation areas within the Natura 2000 Network.

In 2024, she began practicing independently in the same areas of Land Use Planning, Urban Planning, and the Environment, while continuing to serve as an external consultant for the law firm Abalada Matos, Moraes Cardoso, RL.

She has been with Antas da Cunha Ecija since April 2026.
