Registered with the Portuguese Bar Association since 2005.

Amílcar completed his internship with Professor Paulo Olavo Cunha, at the law firm Ferreira Pinto, Olavo Cunha & Associados.

In May 2005, he joined the law firm Gonçalves Pereira, Castelo Branco & Associados, currently Cuatrecasas, Gonçalves Pereira & Associados, Sociedade de Advogados R.L., where he remained as Senior Associate of Corporate and M&A until he joined Antas da Cunha Ecija & Associados, Sociedade de Advogados R.L., in January 2018. Amílcar was nominated in the Best Lawyers editions of 2019 and 2020 in the practice areas of Mergers and Acquisitions and Corporate Law. He was also referenced by the 2019 edition of Transactional Track Record (TTR) in the 1st place of the ranking of Portuguese Legal Advisors Dealmakers in M&A, Private Equity, Venture Capital and Asset Acquisitions.

In January 2021, he is promoted to Partner in Antas da Cunha Ecija & Associados, Sociedade de Advogados R.L..
