Viviane Nóbrega Maldonado (born 1964), Of Counsel at Antas da Cunha Ecija. Graduated from the University of São Paulo (Brazil) in 1986, she began her career in the field of Civil and Corporate Law working for large multinational companies. In 1993, she was appointed as Judge of the State of São Paulo (public tender). Her academic life has been always focused on civil law and privacy. In 2002, she completed her first Post-Graduation at the São Paulo School of Judges. Following the studies, she obtained a Master’s degree in Comparative Law from Samford University (USA) and also obtained the MBA degree in International Relations from Getúlio Vargas Foundation, besides having attended several courses in Data Protection, in Brazil and abroad. In 2017, she published the book “Direito ao Esquecimento” (“The Right to be Forgotten”). In the same year, she organized and coordinated the first event and the first course on GDPR in Brazil. She is the author of several articles published in academic journals in Brazil and abroad, as well she is a lecturer and teacher in the field of privacy and data protection.
